Vol. 11 Issue 1

Fall semester is off to an exciting start. We welcomed the 649 members of the Class of 2014 in late August, and the entire campus community celebrated the birthday of the Marquis de Lafayette on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The celebration included a picnic meal on the Quad, a birthday cake, and an appearance by the Marquis de Lafayette himself!

The inaugural Alumni Summer College, held July 15-18, was very successful. Visit the web site to read more. Dates for the 2011 session are July 21-24. More details will be available soon.

We hope to see you on campus for Homecoming weekend Oct. 16-17, during which the kickoff of the year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of coeducation at Lafayette will be held, or for the Lafayette-Lehigh game on Nov. 20. And, we look forward to welcoming parents on Family Weekend, Oct. 1-3.

Sincerely,
Sherri Jones
Director of Alumni Affairs
