Volume 11 Issue 4
Registration for the second annual Alumni Summer College opened Monday, Dec. 1. Last year’s attendees, ranging in age from their early 20s through their 80s, described it as “fascinating, engaging, and invaluable.” If your schedule permits, I encourage you to attend this three-day academic immersion in classes taught by Lafayette professors. It is a learning experience that you’ll treasure. But space is limited, so register today.
Here are some brief highlights of this year’s lineup: Prof. Curlee Raven Holton on printmaking, Prof. Susan Niles on the Incas, Prof. Jim Lennertz on political humor, Prof. Susan Averett on women in the economy, and Prof. Robert Weiner on the Holocaust.
I would also like to encourage you to attend two other upcoming events—the career networking nights co-sponsored with the Gateway Career Center. One will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Philadelphia and the other on Thursday, Jan. 13, in New York City. Help students explore career possibilities and network with fellow alumni.
Happy holidays!
