Although the weather’s been chilly lately, many of our students are thinking about the summer, when they hope to gain valuable career experience through internships. These students bring creativity, hard work, and many skills to the workplace. Learn more about hosting a student intern on the Gateway Career Center web site or contact Rachel Nelson Moeller ’88, associate director of the Gateway Career Center, moellerr@lafayette.edu.We’re also thinking about warmer weather as we prepare for Alumni Summer College, which will take place July 15-18. Stretch your learning muscles with an engaging academic program and take advantage of networking opportunities with fellow participants, faculty, and staff. Check out the list of classes and more online.

Next month, the admissions office will be contacting alumni admissions representatives (AAR) to assist the College in helping draw students to Lafayette through phone calls and emails to admitted students in their geographic regions. If you are not an AAR and would like to help with this important activity, please contact Associate Director of Admissions Anne Marie Ferriere at ferriera@lafayette.edu to sign up. This is a highly competitive year in admissions because of the economy and the price of a top-quality private undergraduate education, and it is particularly important that our alumni reach out to students weighing their choices.

Sincerely,
Sherri Jones
Director of Alumni Affairs
